Abby grew up in San Diego with an appreciation for California’s coastlines as well as its vastly different natural environments, which ultimately led to her desire to pursue her studies in environmental science. She became interested in water management when working as the Water Programs Intern for the non-profit Community Water Center in Sacramento, which aims to bring clean, safe, and affordable drinking water to disadvantaged communities primarily in the Central Valley. Abby will graduate in June 2018 with a B.S. in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning and emphasis in water management. She aspires to attend graduate school and to work in the water sector to ensure a sustainable water source for California.
