Last spring I participated in Friend's of the River's RATS program and from there started the first campus chapter at UCB, since the founding of FOR. In addition to my work with FOR, the thesis I wrote for my human rights minor on environmental justice promotion through experiential outdoor education on the river, and my work with O.A.R.S. as a river guide, has allowed me to develop a deep connection to rivers. I plan to attend law school for water rights and hope to spend time working to restore rivers and defend the human right to water.
