What interests me most about California water resources is the ongoing battle for sustainable water that is both ecologically viable and available for human use and consumption. More specifically I am interested in water rights policy and activism for communities which may have been historically overlooked. The health of California's rivers is intimately tied to the availability of water and the fauna that inhabit it that many Indigenous and other underrepresented communities depend on. Keeping these river systems healthy not only preserves the natural beauty of these water sources, but ensures that clean water is available for everyone.
