Jenny’s research focuses on how managed aquifer recharge (MAR) can be used to improve both water supply and quality.
Jenny is a member of Dr. Andrew Fisher’s hydrogeology lab at UCSC and the second UC Water Academy.
Jenny Pensky is a PhD Student in the Earth and Planetary Sciences Department at UC Santa Cruz. She is originally from Cleveland, Ohio and received a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Barnard College of Columbia University. Prior to beginning her graduate studies, Jenny worked as an environmental consultant on soil and groundwater remediation projects.
In addition to her research, she is a co-leader of Geoscientists Encouraging Openness and Diversity in Earth Sciences (GEODES) at UCSC and is on the Education Committee for the Groundwater Resources Association of California (GRA).
